North Korea: Could fire missiles at any time?

In a very in depth article on the CNN website, it is written that North Korea is expected to do an alleged test launch of missils.
It’s unclear whether or not there will be a warning, but according to CNN, they are acting as if there will not be one.
They will be watching closely to see if there is a launch, and if there is there are systems to let them know whether it’s going to the ocean or to a land location.

2 CHARGED WITH MURDER IN HADIYA PENDLETON SLAYING

Two reputed gang members were out for revenge from a previous shooting when they opened fire on a group of students in a South Side park last month, killing 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton in a heartbreaking case that has brought national attention to Chicago’s rampant gun violence, police said.
Michael Ward, 18, and Kenneth Williams, 20, were each charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in the Jan. 29 attack that also left two teens wounded.
Ward confessed to police that he and Williams mistook a Pendleton companion for rivals who had shot and wounded Williams last July, police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said at a news conference Monday night at the Area Central police headquarters.
Ward told police that he and Williams got out of their car, crept up on the group and opened fire in Harsh Park, McCarthy said. Williams then drove them from the scene, he said.
“The offenders had it all wrong. They thought the group they shot into included members of a rival gang. Instead it was a group of upstanding, determined kids who, like Hadiya, were repulsed by the gang lifestyle,” said McCarthy, flanked by two dozen detectives and gang investigators who worked the case.
Detectives arrested the two Saturday night as the suspects were on their way to a suburban strip club to celebrate a friend’s birthday, McCarthy said. Pendleton had been buried only hours earlier in a funeral attended by first lady Michelle Obama.
“I don’t even know what to say about that,” McCarthy said. “They were going out to celebrate at a strip club.”
Williams did not confess and police have not recovered a weapon, McCarthy said. Both are due in bond court Tuesday.
Hadiya’s father, Nathaniel Pendleton, said Monday night that news of the charges marked the first time since his daughter’s slaying that he had a “legitimate” smile on his face.
“I’m ecstatic that they found the two guys,” he told the Tribune during a brief telephone interview from Washington, D.C., where he and wife Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton will attend the State of the Union address Tuesday as guests of President Barack Obama. “(I’m) thanking God that these two guys are off the streets, so that this doesn’t happen to another innocent person.”
Danetria Hutson, 15, a classmate who held Hadiya in her arms after she was shot, said she and others who witnessed the shooting have had nightmares.
“A lot of us were actually paranoid because the guys were still out there,” Hutson said in a telephone interview. “They knew where we went to school.”
McCarthy said that two days before the killing, police had stopped Ward in his Nissan Sentra as part of a routine gang investigation. That information wound up being the starting point for detectives when witnesses in the shooting described seeing a similar car driving away from the shooting scene, he said.
Through surveillance and interviews — including several fruitful interviews with parolees in the neighborhood — detectives were able to home in on Ward and Williams, McCarthy said. On Saturday night, the decision was made to stop the two if they were spotted. Police watched as they departed in a caravan of cars headed to the strip club in Harvey. They were stopped near 67th Street and South King Drive and taken in for questioning.
McCarthy said Williams was shot July 11 at 39th Street and South Lake Park Avenue, and an arrest was made. But that gunman was let go after Williams refused to cooperate, McCarthy said.
McCarthy also noted that at the time of Hadiya’s slaying, Ward was on probation for a weapons conviction. McCarthy said weak Illinois gun laws allowed Ward to avoid jail time because of the absence of mandatory minimum sentences.
“This incident did not have to occur,” McCarthy said. “And if mandatory minimums existed in the state of Illinois, Michael Ward would not have been on the street to commit this heinous act.”
In announcing the charges, McCarthy praised the “meticulous” detective work that led to the arrests, but he also expressed frustration that despite a $40,000 reward for information in the shooting, no one who had knowledge of the crime came forward.
“While we received a lot of tips in this particular case and the community really stepped up and tried to help us, I’m sad to point out that we did not get our target audience to step up,” the superintendent said.
Hadiya was fatally shot about a mile north of the president’s Kenwood neighborhood home a little more than a week after the King College Prep honor student performed with her school band near Washington during inauguration festivities.
Hadiya’s death occurred during the deadliest January in Chicago since 2002. It also came on the heels of a homicide total last year that was the highest since 2008 and the second highest since 2003.
The first lady’s attendance at Hadiya’s funeral pushed Chicago further into the spotlight of a debate over gun violence that has polarized Congress and led the president to take his plans for gun control on the road to garner more public support. The president is scheduled to appear in Chicago on Friday to talk about violence.
In the days after Hadiya’s death, clergy and community leaders raised the $40,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the teen’s killer or killers.
The victim’s father acknowledged that true closure will come if Ward and Williams are convicted of the crimes. But the charges, he said, are a good start.
“Right now, I can say to you that the healing can start,” Pendleton said

Outrage continues to grow over the death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton and the reward to find her killer has increased to $24,000.
Family, friends and community leaders gathered Friday night for a fundraiser in the South Loop.
Hadiya was shot in the back while standing with a group of friends at a park on Tuesday.
Police say the gunman may have mistaken the group for a rival gang.
Hadiya`s family continues to grieve but say they have received a lot of support in the last few days.
Funeral arrangements for Hadiya have not been announced.

Los Angeles law enforcement officials said on Monday morning they were investigating the singer Chris Brown for his possible involvement in an assault that occurred in West Hollywood on Sunday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement reported by The Associated Press that it was looking into an incident that occurred outside the Westlake Recording Studios where witnesses said that six men had been involved in a fight over a parking space. “The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim,” the statement said.
The celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported that the unnamed victim referred to in the statement was the singer Frank Ocean. Mr. Ocean, who is up for six awards at the Grammys next month, wrote on his Twitter account: “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol.” In another post, he added: “cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”
Mr. Brown, a fellow Grammy nominee, was arrested after the 2009 ceremony for attacking the singer Rihanna during an argument in their car on the night of the show. He later pleaded guilty to one felony count of assault and was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labor. Last summer, he was involved in a brawl at a New York club where he feuded with the rapper Drake. In November, Mr. Brown temporarily shut down his Twitter account after an online war of words with the comedian Jenny Johnson.

“Fort Lauderdale Police have gathered dozens of bullet casings from Las Olas Boulevard after someone opened fire on a vehicle. According to witnesses, Rapper Rick Ross was inside that vehicle. Several gunshots were heard in the area of 1410 E Las Olas Blvd., around 5 a.m. According to locals, they said Rapper Rick Ross was in the Floridian Restaurant celebrating his Birthday and as he left in his Rolls Royce, someone opened fire. Police have not confirmed this information. The bullets missed the Rolls Royce but the vehicle slammed into the restaurant. Luckily, police said no one was injured by the gunfire. Several businesses in the area were hit by bullets. The vehicle has since been towed from the scene. Police continue to investigate” – 7 News

Chicago-area temperatures early this morning dropped into the upper single digits to lower teens, and when combined with northwest winds gusting to 25 miles per hour resulted in wind chills from zero to as low as -15 degrees.
At Hot Doug’s on the north side, sub zero wind chills didn’t freeze out the appetites of the briskly faithful, bundled up, waiting for a bite of what waited inside.
Emergency room doctors say if you need to go out, watch for signs of hypothermia, like confusion and frostbite, including tingling of the ears, nose and fingers.
Warming centers are open throughout the city, hoping to keep every person safe especially seniors and children.

Marc Trestman named new Bears head coach

The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday morning they have reached an agreement with Marc Trestman to become the team’s 14th head coach in franchise history.
Trestman spent the last five seasons as head coach in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes and led them to back-to-back Grey Cup Championships in 2009 and 2010.
Trestman also has 17 years of coaching experience in the NFL as an offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and running backs coach. His teams in the NFL have made eight playoff appearances including two conference championships and a Super Bowl appearance with the Raiders.
President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have just spelled out their proposals for more gun control, following a year of several deadly shooting sprees in the United States.
The president is calling for universal background checks for all gun buyers, a ban on assault weapons and a 10-round limit on ammunition clips.
He’s also asking for more funding to help treat mental illness and provide schools with support to enhance their safety.
The proposals were prompted by last month’s shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, as well as shootings in Colorado and Oregon.
The president then signed 23 executive orders dealing with guns, including funding more research into the causes of gun violence.He’s calling on Congress to pass the most controversial gun control measures.
Here, according to the White House, are what the 23 executive actions will do, without congressional approval:
1. “Issue a presidential memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.”
2. “Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.”
3. “Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.”
4. “Direct the attorney general to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.”
5. “Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.”
6. “Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. “Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.”
8. “Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).”
9. “Issue a presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.”
10. “Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.”
11. “Nominate an ATF director.”
12. “Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.”
13. “Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.”
14. “Issue a presidential memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.”
15. “Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.”
16. “Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.”
17. “Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.”
18. “Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.”
19. “Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.”
20. “Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.”
21. “Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.”
22. “Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.”
23. “Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.”
Opponents led by the National Rifle Association promise to fight any measures they say will violate the constitutional right to bear arms.
Lil Wayne claims he plans to throw in the towel after dropping “Tha Carter V.”
On this February 19, Lil Wayne will release the highly anticipated sequel to his 2010 album I Am Not a Human Being. Yet despite this news of the LP’s impending release, Weezy says he may soon call it quits on his music career.
In a recent interview with MTV, Lil Wayne said that he’s planning to retire from making music after releasing Tha Carter V, the fifth installment of his critically acclaimed series. The New Orleans rapper explained that in his decade-plus professional career in Hip Hop, his interests have expanded to other activities while his passion for recording tunes has increasingly waned.
“I know y’all want me around for a little bit, [but] Tha Carter V is my last album,” he revealed. “I’ve been rapping since I was 8 years old; I’m 30 now. That’s a long time, and I like to do so many more things, and when I like to do something, I end up loving to do it real quick. And I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only, and music sometimes is not that ‘it.’”
Shyne Says Rick Ross is lying, and clarifies other rumors
In a new interview, Shyne said Rick Ross is rapping about a lie, says he tried to reconcile with Diddy and adds that Kendrick Lamar’s “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” wasn’t “trash.”
It’s safe to say that Shyne has had a headline-filled year. After reconciling with and later dissing Diddy, starting a feud with Rick Ross and then calling Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city “trash,” Shyne has had several controversy-filled headlines. He’s even started a Rap beef with Game, with both releasing diss records. During a recent interview with Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex, Shyne was asked to speak on a variety of topics to help clear the air.
On Diddy, Shyne says he wanted to reconcile at first. However, he found it difficult.
“We all make mistakes and bad judgements. In that situation, he had been apologizing to me for the entire ten years that I was locked up. It was a constant thing. I wasn’t really trying to hear it because I know how that situation went down. It was never a case of me complaining because I got burned. It was a situation where my mans, somebody who was like my brother, called the witness to testify against me. I took that with me until the end of of my bid. Then, you get out and you move on… I’m thinking about the bigger picture because, despite what’s coming out in the media, I’m not trippin’. I want to be like Marcus Garvey. I want to be like Huey P. Newton. I want to see African Americans and Latin Americans like Barack Obama, having opportunities, making a way for themselves. He was also asked about Rick Ross. According to Shyne, Ross is rapping a bout a lifestyle that he never knew.
“When I’m making commentary on Ross, everything I’m saying is fact. He’s selling records based on a lie…If you’re making millions of dollars off of this life, help these kids get jobs. Help them stop selling dope.”
Later in the interview, Shyne was asked about Kendrick Lamar’s album. He backtracked on earlier comments, where he stated that the album good kid, m.A.A.d. city was “trash.”
“I will give you this. It’s not a classic album. It’s not the greatest album I ever heard. Maybe the word trash was harsh.”
Ja Rule’s two-year sentence will soon come to an end.
After heading into prison in June 2011, Ja Rule will be released from the clink in a matter of months.
According to his website (via IFWT), the former Murder Inc. rapper is scheduled to be liberated from jail on February 21, 2013.
Ja entered prison on June 7, 2011 on charges stemming from an arrest made in 2007 after he left a concert at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. Police pulled over his vehicle and upon inspection found a loaded semi-automatic handgun.
While in jail, Ja has been relatively quiet, releasing his latest album Pain is Love 2 and publishing an open letter addressing what life is like in the detention facility.

The rapper just lost a little over that amount in a lawsuit brought up against him by filmmaker, Quincy Jones III. If you all recall, Wayne allowed him to do a documentary on him, but then bashed the film and said it was defaming his character.

According to one of Lil’ Wayne’s boys, Weezy is not upset about losing the money, but believes that the judge and jury only ruled against him because he didn’t show up to court. Wayne feels like he was punished for being too sick to fly. According to TMZ, Wayne had a “medical emergency” and was ordered by his doctor not to fly, so he could not make his court date.
The judge was not trying to hear that excuse and awarded QD3 with $2,195,000 in lost revenue due to Wayne bad mouthing the indie movie.
Sidenote: Weezy was too sick to fly, but he allegedly drove from Louisiana to Miami to attend a Heat game. Talk about not having your priorities in order.

Lil Wayne just lost his case against Quincy Jones III over the documentary about the rapper, and even worse for him, he lost the countersuit QIII filed against him.
The jury ordered Lil Wayne to pay Quincy $2,195,000. Quincy’s countersuit alleged Lil Wayne wrongfully jock blocked the release of the film, screwing up its profit potential.
Lil Wayne never showed up in court for his trial. The day he was supposed to testify he was a no-show because he had suffered several seizure-like episodes and was prohibited from flying. Cee Lo Green is the target of an LAPD sexual battery investigation, TMZ has learned … but the singer is adamant he did NOTHING wrong.
Law enforcement sources tell us … a woman recently filed a police report with the LAPD, accusing “The Voice” judge — real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway – of a sexual assault.
Our sources say detectives have already visited a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles in connection with the case and questioned several employees, including the manager. We do not know if the alleged incident occurred at the restaurant.
The LAPD is mum on the identity of the alleged victim, when and where the incident allegedly occurred, and what Cee Lo allegedly did.
Cee Lo tells TMZ he categorically denies ANY wrongdoing. In fact, the singer says he hasn’t been to the restaurant in question in 3 months … and insists, “Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else.”
We also spoke with a source who is constantly with Cee Lo … who tells us, “I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody.”
The investigation is in its infancy … no charges have been filed and the case has not been referred to prosecutors.

Whoa! When I saw the TMZ headline, I didn’t know what to make of it! But. This. Is. Happening. Apparently, 40 Glocc has decided to sue The Game for beating him down earlier this year. The beatdown was video recorded and…pretty bad. So, bad that 40 is looking to get paid from his gang rival. I don’t know the laws of the streets like you guys. But, 40Glocc told TMZ that a gun was pulled on him and that changed everything. But. I was always under the impression that was the game – no pun intended. But, I have not opinion! Here is what TMZ had to say.

40 — real name Lawrence White — just filed a lawsuit against Game over the July 7 incident that took place in front of a mansion in the Hollywood Hills. You probably saw the video.
According to the docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, 40 says he was leaving a party, when he was jumped by Game and Game’s 15-man entourage for no reason.
Game recorded the fight on his iPhone and published the footage to YouTube — under the title, “The Game Beats Up 40 Glocc Whilst Recording on iPhone Full Video.”
In his suit, 40 says the video does NOT show the full story … claiming Game had chased after him with a gun … and shouted, “Freeze or I’ma shoot, n*gga.”
40 claims he tried to escape … but Game caught up, pointed the gun at his chest and told him not to fight back or he would “end it right now.”
In the docs, 40 says he obliged … and Game and Game’s crew proceeded to beat him mercilessly … causing major injuries to his right eye, ribs, kidneys, right shoulder and back.
40 also says he suffered wounds to his face, head, legs, arms and hands.
40 is suing for unspecified damages — but we’re guessing he wants MILLIONS … not only for assault and battery … but he also feels Game tarnished his thug reputation by portraying him as a coward on the YouTube video.
At the time of the altercation, sources close to The Game told TMZ … Game did NOT pull a gun during the incident and insisted “it was a one-on-one fight.”

Weezy was on board a flight from Texas to LAX — when he began to convulse. We’re told the flight was immediately diverted to Louisiana … and Wayne was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

Hurricane Sandy kills 41 in Caribbean, targets U.S

Hurricane Sandy, a late-season Atlantic storm unlike anything seen in more than two decades, slogged slowly toward the U.S. East Coast on Friday after killing at least 41 people as it cut across the Caribbean.
Forecasters said Sandy, with an expanding wind field already 550 miles wide, had begun merging with a polar air mass over the eastern United States, potentially spawning a hybrid “super storm” that could wreak havoc along the East Coast.
“Its structure is evolving as we speak because it’s interacting with this weather feature at higher levels of the atmosphere,” said Todd Kimberlain, a forecaster at the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
“The models are suggesting that the storm could actually become better organized or intensify a little bit, not due to the normal processes than we would expect for a tropical cyclone but more related to this weather feature,” Kimberlain said.
On its current projected track, government forecasters said Sandy could make landfall early next week anywhere between Virginia, Maryland or Delaware up through New York or southern New England.
In New York City, the global financial hub, officials were considering closing down mass transit before the storm hits.Coming in the final weeks before the presidential election on November 6, the storm could throw last-minute campaign travel plans into chaos.

6:22PM EDT October 25. 2012 - Emanuel Steward, a Hall of Fame trainer and iconic figure in Detroit who put his hometown on the boxing map by turning out some of the greatest fighters the sport has seen, died Thursday in a Chicago area hospital.
He was 68.
Steward had been suffering from diverticulitis, but there were various reports that he had stage 4 colon cancer as well. He has been hospitalized since September and underwent surgery recently for diverticulitis, a stomach disorder, according to his sister, Diane Steward-Jones.
Steward-Jones, who handled business and public relations for Steward, told the Detroit Free Press she and several family members were by his side.
“He has passed – he’s gone home,” Steward-Jones told the Free Press by phone. “He was in no pain, and we sang to him, as well as did the doctors present. He had loved ones around him.”
Steward-Jones said even toward the end her brother tried to recruit male nurses and other medical staff to box for him. “They loved him,” Steward-Jones said. “He’d tell them to lose some weight and fight for him.”
Steward was a fighter himself in his early years, compiled a 96-3 amateur record, and was the 1963 Golden Gloves bantamweight champion. But it was as a teacher of boxing where he made his mark, and what eventually got him elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997.
Steward, who for the last 11 years had been a boxing analyst for HBO, was the cornerman for such great Detroit-area fighters as 1980s-era champions Thomas Hearns, Hilmer Kenty and Milton McCrory. He later trained heavyweight champions Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko.
Klitschko who is training for a Nov. 10 title defense against Mariusz Wach, released a statement that read:
“Vitali (Wladimir’s brother) and I, along with the entire Team Klitschko, send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Emanuel’s family and friends. It is not often that a person in any line of work gets a chance to work with a legend. Well I was privileged enough to work with one for almost a decade.”
He worked with his fighters in the cramped, but legendary Kronk Gym in downtown Detroit. The original Kronk closed down in 2006, and has since moved to another part of Detroit.
Top Rank chairman Bob Arum, who has been promoting boxing for nearly 50 years, said Steward will be sorely missed by the boxing community.
“We are all grieving the passing of our friend Emanuel Steward. His founding and leadership of the Kronk Gym in Detroit was outstanding,” Arum said. “His efforts produced many world class fighters and champions including Tommy Hearns, Milt McCrory, Michael Moorer and many more.
“Emanuel Steward always stood for the best that boxing could offer. He will be missed by all of us.”
At the time of his death, Steward was the head trainer for heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and had worked as a highly respected boxing analyst for HBO, with partners Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant and Max Kellerman since 2001.
“There are no adequate words to describe the enormous degree of sadness and loss we feel at HBO Sports with the tragic passing of Manny Steward,” HBO President Ken Hershman said in a statement. “For more than a decade, Manny was a respected colleague who taught us so much not only about the sweet science but also about friendship and loyalty.
“His energy, enthusiasm and bright smile were a constant presence. Ten bells do not seem enough to mourn his passing. His contributions to the sport and to HBO will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
Steward, who was born in West Virginia and moved to Detroit at age 12, was well known for his charity work in Detroit with the Kronk Gym Foundation, which helped kids in need get training and an education.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ruled against the couple’s petition to trademark the moniker of their daughter, so they can potentially have the exclusive capacity to slap her name on baby products like diaper bags and cosmetics. A Boston wedding planning business with the name Blue Ivy also attempted to trademark the name and failed. The Patent Office ruling allows wedding planner Blue Ivy to continue using the name for that sort of business and Beyoncé and Jay-Z to use it for other, unrelated endeavors. Bobby Brown Arrested for DUI for 2nd Time This Year

TARZANA, Calif. (KTLA) — Singer Bobby Brown has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for the second time this year, police confirm.
Brown, 43, was pulled over around 1 a.m. when police say they observed him driving erratically near Corbin Ave. and Topanga Cyn. in Tarzana.
Officers asked Brown to get out of his car, and they performed a field sobriety test and then arrested him.
He was booked at the LAPD Valley Jail in Van Nuys and released several hours later on $25,000 bail.
Brown was previously arrested for DUI after being pulled over in March, less than a month after ex-wife Whitney Houston died in a hotel bathtub following cocaine use.
In April, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge and was sentenced to three years and a day of probation.
Brown was also fined $390 dollars and ordered to attend a 90-day alcohol education program.
Brown was previously convicted of DUI in Georgia in 1996.
The latest arrest comes just months after Brown reportedly checked himself into a rehab facility for alcohol abuse issues, from which he has suffered for many years.
At the time, a source close to the former “New Edition” singer told TMZ that he wanted to “make the best out of the rest of his life for his children’s sake.”

After 10 years, Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell’s murder is still unsolved. While some suspects are named, Jay’s mother feels that karma will catch up with her son’s killer.
It has been nearly ten years since the shooting of Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell and the case is still unsolved. Most recently the New York Daily News reported that Curtis Scoon put a hit out on Jay after a dispute concerning a drug debt. However, Scoon has maintained his innocence in the process.
In a recent interview with AllHipHop, Scoon explained that he was “taken aback” by allegations made against him.
“I read the article in today’s New York Daily News and was taken aback by the persistent efforts to connect me to the tragic death of Jason Mizell,” he shared. “I addressed my non-involvement in this crime several months back with ScoonTV, I believe readers will find it quite informative.”
Currently, Ronald Washington is serving a sentence for armed robbery. He reportedly admitted to having a role in the killing of Mizell. According to reports, Washington admitted guilt to a former girlfriend who reported this crime to police. However, another source claims that his former girlfriend’s claims have changed “three or four times” since they were first reported.
While witnesses were on the scene, police have been unable to follow any leads. The head detective on the case, Vincent Santangelo, says it is because no one will or no one can cooperate information. As a result, law enforcement is still in search of the person who killed Jay.
Mizell’s family member were also interviewed for the piece in the NY Daily News. Mizell’s mother, Connie Mizell-Perry, expressed her feelings on the matter.
“One of these days, you’re going to think you have it made and someone is going to tap you on the shoulder and say, ‘Gotcha!’”
Mitt Romney Court Battle Over His Involvement in Bitter Divorce

Mitt Romney was heavily involved in the extremely messy divorce of one of his key supporters … and the Boston Globe is going to court first thing Wednesday morning in an attempt to unseal the court file as well as lift a gag order … TMZ has learned.
The divorce was between Staples co-founder Tom Stemberg and his first wife Maureen. We’re told the divorce battle lasted for years and was extremely ugly.
Sources tell us Romney gave both a deposition in the divorce and testified in the trial. According to our sources, the Boston Globe got a tip that there was “juicy information about Romney” in the sealed documents.
Romney, Stemberg and Maureen were all served papers by the Globe notifying them that the paper was trying to unseal the case and lift the gag order enforced on all parties.
According to an article in the Boston Globe in 2005, Maureen received nearly 500,000 shares of Staples stock in the divorce … but sold half her shares before the company went public.
Stemberg and Romney’s business ties go deep. Bain Capital helped launch Staples … widely seen as the first big success for Romney’s venture capital company — and Romney sat on Staples’ board of directors for many years.
Our sources say Tom has filed papers opposing the Globe’s motion. Romney’s lawyers have not responded.
Tom has been a major Romney supporter, even speaking for five minutes at the Republican National Convention.
Teen killed, 3 injured when car slams into home

A 15-year-old boy was killed and three other teenagers were injured when the car they were riding in plowed into a home in Aurora.It happened on the 2700 block of Hamman Way around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.’
Police say one of the teens was speeding in his father’s 2012 Chevy Malibu on Stonebridge Road when he lost control on a curve, and hit a curb. The car went flying, flipped, and crashed into the house’s garage.
Devin Meadows, 15, was thrown from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two other passengers suffered minor injuries. Meadows was in the backseat at the time of the crash, and was the only one in the car who did not have on a seat belt. Police said no one inside of the house was hurt.
Meadows was a sophomore at Metea Valley High School, and his friends gathered at the scene to remember him on Tuesday.
“He was a lot of everyone’s friend. And even if he wasn’t your friend, he was somebody to you,” said one girl.
“We’re just so sorry that we lost a friend. But, we’re cherishing everyone now because we realize that life can be short,” said another girl. Police say the driver does not have a license, and are questioning him about the accident

“Fort Lauderdale Police have gathered dozens of bullet casings from Las Olas Boulevard after someone opened fire on a vehicle. According to witnesses, Rapper Rick Ross was inside that vehicle. Several gunshots were heard in the area of 1410 E Las Olas Blvd., around 5 a.m. According to locals, they said Rapper Rick Ross was in the Floridian Restaurant celebrating his Birthday and as he left in his Rolls Royce, someone opened fire. Police have not confirmed this information. The bullets missed the Rolls Royce but the vehicle slammed into the restaurant. Luckily, police said no one was injured by the gunfire. Several businesses in the area were hit by bullets. The vehicle has since been towed from the scene. Police continue to investigate” – 7 News
